Jesús Pompa, better known as El Pompa Tattooer, was born on a warm summer’s night in June.

Growing up, unlike the typical Spanish boys of his age, he always preferred drawing and doodling on paper to playing football.

As his love for drawing grew, he was given the chance to study Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid.

It was during these years when he began his journey as a tattoo artist. He worked in various studios, learning the art of tattooing.

Nowadays he works at La Rosa Muerta tattoo studio in Toledo. His style is mainly neotraditional and old school.

A music lover too, in his spare time he plays the bass guitar with his rock band, The Oxy and the banjo with his folk group MacMardigans.
